Delete your account
You can ask us to delete your Smart Warehouses account at any time. Use the form below, or email admin@smartwarehouses.co.uk from the address registered to your account.
Request account deletion
To confirm it is you, please sign in to your account first, then send us your request from this page. We will verify your identity before acting on any deletion request.
What we delete
- Your account profile, saved addresses and marketing preferences
- Your saved payment details (these are held by our payment provider, not by us)
- Any trade account contact record you hold with us
What we must keep, and why
UK law requires us to retain certain records even after your account is closed. We keep order and transaction records, VAT and tax records, and any records needed for product safety or warranty obligations, for the periods required by HMRC and UK consumer law (generally six years). These records are kept for legal compliance only and are not used for marketing.
How long it takes
We aim to complete verified deletion requests within 30 days, in line with UK GDPR. We will confirm by email once your account has been deleted.
Deleting from the app
If you are using the Smart Warehouses iPhone or Android app, you can start this process from Account → Settings → Delete account, which brings you to this page.
